Bangkok Metropolitan Administration delegates participated in WTCF Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference during 25-29 March 2017 in Penang, Malaysia. The conference was hosted by Penang State Tourism Committee and World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) under the theme “One Belt One Road: Tourism City Corridor and Urban Node Construction”.
It was also the first large regional conference that WTCF held in one of its member cities. The objectives of the conference were to develop world tourism industry, to enhance exchange and cooperation between tourism cities, tourism enterprises, and WTCF members in Asia-Pacific region. The conference consisted of tourism expo and networking session, keynote speech and panel discussion by international speakers in tourism sectors, exploration tourism destination. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration gained knowledge and experiences on tourism industry, sustainable development on tourism including cooperation and networking on tourism with other countries in Asia-Pacific region.
