The 1st Conference of the International Network of Michelin Cities

During 29th November 1st December 2017

At Clermont-Ferrand, France

          Mr. Thaweesak Lertprapan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok attends the opening ceremony and be a panelist in the Dialogue between Experts and Mayors together with Mr. Olivier Bianchi, Mayor of Clermont-Ferrand, and urban development experts and academics in the 1st Conference of the International Network of Michelin Cities held on 29th November - 1st December 2017 in Clemont-Ferrand, France. There are 42 city representatives from 20 countries participate in the conference. 

          In this occasion, the Deputy Governor presents the opinion regarding of the Sustainable Development City especially in the field of the BMAs policy on sustainable transportation system development which highlights at development of public transport linkage system of the main travel system, also response to the need of 10 million citizens in Bangkok area. For transport management, this policy emphasizes on many aspects such as development of mass transit and feeder system, restoration of tire system, and development of taxi, boat, and ITS system. Last but not lease, using of demand management, for example to control private vehicles, to specify zoning, will support sustainable transportation system in Bangkok.
