Japan-Thailand Regional Exchange Promotion Program Delegation, Japan

          On 15th January 2018 at the Nopparat Room, 5th Floor, Bangkok City Hall, Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok together with Mr. Thaweesak Lertprapan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mrs. Silapasuaw Rawisaengsun, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the BMA, Director-General of Social Development Department, Director of International Affairs Office, and representatives from City Planning Department welcome the Japan-Thailand Regional Exchange Promotion Program Delegation led by Mr. Norio Funayama, Managing Director of CLAIR Headquarters, Tokyo.

          On this occasion, Governor of Bangkok expresses his intention to provide BMA officers the opportunity to share experience and cooperation with Japan authorities in the future through coordination with CLAIR on the topics of waste disposal, and water management especially groundwater retention called Water Bank. For this response, CLAIR is pleased to support and act as a coordinator to offer appropriate Japanese cities to exchange operational experience in either academic issue or technology with the BMA.

          The delegation learns Bangkoks economic promotion whether the operation of occupational training schools, and the promotion of Bangkok Brand products by increasing Roadshow opportunity at Bangkoks Sister Cities particularly Chinese cities. They also learn about land development in Bangkok by divided into four main zones- historic conservation, commercial development, residential, and agriculture conservation areas- that led to Bangkok Comprehensive Plan 2013.
