Bangkok Metropolitan Administration participates in Global Future Cities Prosperity Fund (GFCP) with British Embassy, UN-Habitat and Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC).

Planning Charrette on Transport and Resilience Challenges in Bangkok, Thailand was held on 5 September 2018 at Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel.

Stakeholders from public sector, academic institutions, and civic society, such as Transport and Traffic Policy Plan Office, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Thai Meteorological Department, Office of the National Water Resources, Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat Univerity, and National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) discussed 3 pilot projects to be implemented in Bangkok which are multi modal transportation, GIS data centre, and rain forecasting system, which will support Sustainable Development Goals. Mrs. Anusara Chuensuang, Director of International Affairs Office, expressed sincere thanks all stakeholders who participated in the Charrette, because collaboration among stakeholders is essential for the success of the programme and also beneficial for the city. While Mr. Paul Stevens, Prosperity Fund Future Cities Programme Manager, thanks all participants who shared their ideas and opinions about the proposed projects. The Prosperity Fund Global Future Cities Programme aims to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and sustainable development of the city itself.
