Prosperity Fund Future Cities Programme field study at BTS Bang Wa Station and Klong Bang Laung

           Friday, 29 March 2019, Mr. Paul Stevens, Prosperity Fund Manager - Future Cities, and representatives from British Embassy Bangkok and BMA representatives City Law Enforcement Department, Traffic and Transportation Department, Strategy and Evaluation Department, City Planning and Urban Development Department, Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, Social Development Department, Phasi Charoen District Office, Bangkok Yai District Office and International Affairs Office conducted a field study to BTS Bang Wa Station and Klong Bang Luang Area in preparation for the integrated implementation of the Transit – oriented Development (TOD) Plan : Khlong Bang Luang as  part of Prosperity Fund Future Cities Programme.

          This field study generated an insight perspective on current situation in Klong Bang Laung area as well as provided an opportunity to meet with local communities and listen to their comments and suggestions regarding the programme. The meeting would help promote people participation and cooperation between the BMA and public sector to build inclusive sustainable development  around the boat route and transit area in Phasi Charoen District and Bangkok Yai District
