Chairman of the committee for Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Dalian City paid a courtesy call on Deputy Governor of Bangkok.

               On 18 April 2019, Mr. Thaweesak Lertprapan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, together with Mrs. Suthathip Soniam, Assistant Permanent Secretary for BMA, Mr. Kraison Tippayajun, Director of City Relations Promotion Division acting for Director of International Affairs Office and officials from International Affairs Office jointly welcomed delegation from Dalian, China, led by Mr. Wu Jihua, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Dalian Committee, at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.

                   Having an honor to meet with the Deputy Governor of Bangkok, the Mr. Wu Jihua took this opportunity to discuss a range of issues related to strengthening the friendship relations with Bangkok - one of Dalian’s friendship cities. After signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Friendly Relations in July 2016, the bilateral relations of both cities has been further strengthened through cooperative activities such as visits of senior officials and administrators and youth exchange programs. In this regard, Deputy Governor of Bangkok expressed his warm gratitude to Mr. Wu Jihua for well support of intercity relations. During a conversation, Bangkok and Dalian discussed topics of interest that can develop, formulate and promote the city-to -city cooperation for mutual benefits of the people of the two cities in the future.

                   After a courtesy call, Mr. Thaweesak Lertprapan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, with sincere hospitality, host a welcome lunch for the Dalian delegation at the Empress Restaurant, Royal Princess Hotel, Larn Luang Road.  During the five-day trip in Bangkok, Dalian delegation scheduled to have a study visit and discussion on cooperative opportunities with parties such as Faculty of Education of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thai - Chinese Chamber Of Commerce, Chinese Teachers (Thailand) Association, The Board of Investment of Thailand and Embassy of People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand.  The delegation were accompanied and facilitated by the officials from the International Affairs Office during the trip.
