City Information
Washington D.C. is a capital of the United States of America. Its “D.C.” derived from “District of Columbia”. It is located on the left bank of Potomac River and adjoining to Virginia and Maryland.
Washington D.C. was established in replacement to Philadelphia (that was the former capital city of the USA while it was an overseas land of the Great Britain) during the government of George Washington, the first President of USA. Washington Monument, an obelisk of 555 feet high (169 meters) which was built in honoring to President George Washington, is a landmark.

Agreement
Washington D.C. Of the United States of America signed on a Sister City Agreement with Bangkok on 19th February 1962 while Mr. Chamnan Yuwaboon was the Mayor of Bongkok and reaffirmation agreement on the 40th anniversary by Mr. Samak Sundaravej, the Governor of Bangkok, and
Mr. Anthony A. William, the Governor of Washington D.C., on 15th July 2002 at Washington D.C. The relationship between Bangkok and Washington D.C. has been very well.
