City Information
Moscow (in English: Moscow; Russia: Москва read that Moskva ) is the capital of Russia. Moscow is a center of political, real estate, economics, education, and travel in Russia. It is located near the Moskva River. Population lives in Moscow areas is about 1 in 10 of the total population in the countries. That made Moscow is the most crowded city in Europe. Moscow was the capital of the Soviet Union . By the year 2007, Moscow has been ranked the highest cost of living city in the world, following by London and Seoul.
History
The first reference to Moscow dates from 1147 as a small town. After destroyed by Mongols, Moscow was rebuild by Yuri Dolgorukiy in 1237. Location on the Walk River, it made Moscow city growth quickly. In 1380 Moscow residents has become a mainstay in the liberation of Russia from the Mongols. In 1480, Tsar Ivan III the Great liberated Russian from Tatar tribes and moved the capital to Moscow. In 1712. Tsar Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg and left Moscow besieged by the troops of Napoleon Bonaparte. Due to the cold, Napoleon has to retreat from Moscow in 1812.
After the Russian Revolution in 1917, Lenin moved the capital back to Moscow on 10 March 1918, which remains the capital till now. Nazi army besieged Moscow during the World War II.

Moscow, Russian Signed the establishment of relations Sister City by Mr. Bhichit Rattakul the Bangkok governor and Yury Luzhkov mayor of Moscow on June 19, 1997 at Moscow. Bangkok and Moscow have the good connection from that time till now.
