City Information
Tianjin (Tianjin) (Chinese: 天津; Pinyin: Tiānjīn; Pin in the postal system: Tientsin) is governed as a direct-controlled municipality, one of four such designations, under direct administration of the central government. Tianjin is the third largest city of China. Due to the old Western rental area and Port for heavy industry and a large Western-style architecture in the city, Tianjin is called “Shanghai of the North".
Location and territory.
North with Beijing.
South with East China Sea.
East and west with Hebei province.
Geography
Tianjin is located in the northwest of Beijing, adjacent to the east of the Gulf of Bohai. Tianjin administration is a Special Municipality, which reports directly to the federal government from the Beijing which about 120 km away.
Tianjin is located along the Hai He River at a remote area of the Bohai Gulf on the Pacific Ocean. Tianjin has border with Hebei to the north, south and west with the Beijing government, north-west and east with the Bohai Gulf.
Economy
Tianjin is the 3rd largest port of China. Tianjin have access to approximately 160 million tons of goods( 80% is coal, minerals and oil product). Tianjin port has become the center of the country in BoHai sea. Tianjin is a major city in northern China. The city is the center of industrial trade, transportation and communication. With 133 km of coastline, it makes Tianjin rich in marine resources, marine industry and petrochemical industry.

Several colonialism architecture styles can be found in the Tianjin area.

Agreement
Acting in accordance with the principles of joint communiqué' on the Establish of Diplomatic Relations between the people's republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand on 1th July 1975, the Tianjin Municipal Government and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration agreed to establish a relationship for friendly cooperation and exchanges in order to promote mutual understanding and goodwill between the citizens of both cities by MR.
